10 Second Frame Change Sep 2, 2008
Thanks to the great community we have going on over at YouTube we had a great turnout for an impromptu video battle. We posted a video on our technique for changing the Proflex frame in under 30 seconds, afterwards we asked viewers who could do it faster to send a video reply.
We received many entries, but the two fastest videos came down to a frame-by-frame showdown between two submitters. Coming out ahead by literally half a second was Justin Y. (username "china911") from Santa Rosa, California with a time of 15 seconds (just to show off he posted a 10 second video after the contest ended).
Congratulations, and to reward an astounding 15 seconds we let Justin pick a custom-configuration for an EPS Proflex that includes a red bandana frame, smoke lens, white bottom. We are throwing in some revolution ear pieces along with a 1/5 limited edition yellow strap.
Get Better Monty! Aug 29, 2008
We want to give a shout out to our friend MontyDoom. One wouldn't know at first site, but Monty suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. Once diagnosed, He fought his way out of the wheel chair and onto the paintball field with one of the most positive and inspirational attitudes all of us here at JT has ever seen. We just learned late last night that Monty had a very bad MS attack the other day that put him back in the wheelchair. He is now undergoing aggressive treatment to help fight his way back to rehabilitation.
We are thinking of you Monty and hope for the best!
For those that haven't been fortunate enough to meet Monty yet, check out his Interview from CPX this year.
Blue's Crew & Dynasty at CC XXVI Jul 25, 2008
We would like to thank Blue's Crew for helping out at NPPL Buffalo. Those guys worked really hard to help bring the JT presence you have come to expect at events. Bringing Blue, one of the most well known figures of scenario to a tournament event has already brought forth a very interesting opportunity.
Alex Fraige and Yosh Rau of San Diego Dynasty will be attending EMR’s Castle Conquest XXVI on Saturday September 27th. They will be running and gunning with Blue’s Crew in attacking Castle "AAARRGH" which will be defended by Team "JOINT FURY". Bringing opposite sides of the playing field to play together is just the beginning of the JT Sports program to bridge the gap between Rec Ball and Tournament Ball. Members of both teams want to attend more events together as their schedules allow and plan on continuing to build their relationship between these two sister teams under the JT Sports umbrella.
There will be a poster signing set up Saturday after the game and before the Prize giveaways where players can meet Alex and Yosh and pick up a personalized poster. On Sunday, they will be conducting a Player’s Clinic that will teach the tactics and techniques that are the secret to Dynasty’s success. For more information see the full press release, visit EMRPAINTBALL.com or call (570) 465-9622.
NPPL Buffalo - Day 3 Jul 20, 2008
JT TEAM RESULTS: PRO: 3rd: San Diego Dynasty, 4th: Sacramento XSV, SEMI-PRO: 2nd: Dynasty Entoutage, DII: 1st: Miami Rage, 2nd: Go 4 Broke.
Everybody fought really hard today, it was difficult weather-wise with a rainy morning and a windy afternoon. In paintball nothing changes the way the game is played more than the weather. Not the best conditions for a speed-feed loader.
XSV. That is the story of the day. They placed fourth, but they couldn't have been any happier about it. Having personally spoken to Rich Telford I can you that they finally feel like they are playing like a team and they were really happy with their performance today.
JT would like to congratulate the following pro-division teams:
1st: Ironmen
2nd: Hurricanes
3rd: Dynasty
4th: XSV
